Our first Open Day on Saturday 21 July was a success.
There were several stalls which included books and jigsaws, cards, cakes, white elephant and a raffle/tombola.
Information was provided about the Centre and other organisations gave details about the services and support they offer; these were provided by Friends of Southport Lip-reading, Merseyside Society for Deaf People and Practice Makes Perfect.
We also had music from a local ukulele band who kept everyone entertained, and some of our members even danced along to the tunes!
Donations received throughout the afternoon came to £206.40. A further £34.50 has been donated since bringing the total to £240.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to raising funds for the Centre, and thanks go to our members who helped to man the stalls.
